Das gereinigte Medium wird über den Auslauf des MFA an kundenseitige Behälter, Tanks oder Fördereinrichtungen abgegeben und das von der Magnetwalze angezogene Fe-Material wird über das Abstreifblech an kundenseitige Behälter oder Transporteinrichtungen übergeben. In das Gehäuse des MFA ist eine Magnetwalze integriert die von einem Getriebemotor angetrieben wird. Die Magnetwalze zieht die magn. erfassbaren Fe-Partikel an und transportiert diese über die Drehbewegung aus dem nach unten hin abfließenden Medium. Das Abstreifblech ist mit einem geringen Abstand an die Magnetwalze angestellt und streift die separierten Partikel ab. Dabei verbleibt immer eine gewisse Menge der separierten Partikel an der Übergangsstelle zwischen Magnetwalze und Abstreifblech. Das Separierergebnis hängt in hohem Maße von folgenden Faktoren ab: - Materialeigenschaften der Fe-Verunreinigungen - Größe der Verunreinigungen - Viskosität des Mediums - Abstand zur Magnetwalze - Strömungsverhalten des Mediums (laminar – turbulent) Die Maschinen sind für den Betrieb im EX-Bereich nicht geeignet. Wir stellen diese Anlagen nur auf Kundenwunsch her und erarbeiten mit unserer betriebsinternen Konstruktionsabteilung die Auslegung der Anlage in Absprache mit Ihnen.

Handelsübliche Dauermagnete der ALNICO-Grupp und der Ferrite sind heute so ausgereift, daß eine wesentliche Steigerung ihrer magnetischen Kennwerte nicht mehr erwartet werden kann. Für besonders anspruchsvolle Aufgaben sind in jüngster Zeit neuartige Dauermagnete entwickelt worden, welche auf der Materialzusammenstellung von sogenannten »Seltenen Erden« (Samarium, Cer, Lathan usw.) und Kobalt beruhen. Im Vergleich zu den klassischen Dauermagnet-Werkstoffen bieten die SAMARIUM-KOBALT-Magnete die hohe Flußdichte der ALNICO-Magnete, verbunden mit einer sehr hohen Koerzitivfeldstärke. Sie lassen sich deshalb ohne weiteres auch in entmagnetisierenden Feldern einsetzen, ohne an Magnetkraft zu verlieren.
